Under the overall supervision of the National Chief of Democratic Governance, she/he provides programmatic and administrative support in implementation of the Democratic Governance Project. The incumbent works in close consultation with the supervisor, Democratic Governance Section staff in Head Office and Democratic Governance field staff to ensure effective and efficient implementation of the Project and wider Human Dimension Programme. S/he will be responsible for advising the supervisor on all aspects of the development and implementation of the Democratic Governance Project, including in both programmatic and administrative aspects, and may be required to assume direct responsibility for substantive elements of implementation. S/he will be particularly responsible for coordinating effectively daily work with other Section’s Programme Assistants and with administrative structures outside the immediate project/programme.Tasks and ResponsibilitiesSupports and contributes to the development and implementation of the Democratic Governance Project, through compiling data for project documentation and monitoring the implementation status of programme components aiming to strengthen democratic development and good governance at various level of authority;Reviews and compiles programmatic inputs collected from field staff. S/he also contributes to the review of action plans, progress reports and project proposals by providing comments and managing information received from the field staff;Co-ordinates the preparation and implementation of workshops, training programmes and conferences by preparing all administrative and logistical arrangements necessary; (booking premises, sending invitations, preparation of evaluation forms, drafting part of the reports etc.)Advises the supervisor of any issues that might impact on the progress and effectiveness of the programmes, including the preparation of weekly, monthly and spot reports;Provides simultaneous and consecutive interpretation in meetings, seminars and conferences and translation of documents, reports, correspondence and press articles from English to local language and vice versa;Participates in meetings with external partners on issues related to local governance interventions and maintains an up to date knowledge of similar initiatives elsewhere;Performs other duties as assigned.Vrsta posla:stalni radni odnos, rad na određeno vrijemeRegija:Kanton Sarajevo regija

Social benefits will include participation in the Cigna health insurance scheme and the OSCE Provident Fund. Appointments are normally made at step 1 of the applicable OSCE salary scale.
